Text by Matthew Turner: A zed-shaped shallow plan residential building forms a public area at the base of the tall silo. The building steps up towards the height of the silo, and is oversailed by a floating grill. The conceptual justification for the distribution of uses in the building is the analogy of a belt conveyor, transporting ideas and people vertically and horizontally, though it is unclear whether the block, structured with horizontal slabs, literally contains belt conveyors. The silo is occupied by educational facilities, and a public space is formed on the waterside. An underground car park solves parking issues.
