Text by Matthew Turner: A building in the form of a large spiral links the existing buildings on the site. The intention is within this, a space with a cloister-like feeling is made. This is perceived as an event along a pedestrian route through the wider dock area. The spiral itself is a substantial singular building, raised on a podium, cantilevering over the dock and making a tower alongside the silo, which is topped with a bar and roof garden. It houses various public uses, and creative facilities. The main silo houses student rooms. Its plinth houses a covered parking area.
