Text by Matthew Turner: A series of timber framed constructions are either horizontal (bridging from forested areas to dunes), or towers (to take in the views). In the promotional stage, the tower is used for rainwater harvesting and storage, and the bridge as a pedestrian viewing platform. Inspired by precision logging practices in tropical rainforests, the buildings are positioned by helicopter to avoid damaging the forest. The bridge building can then be turned to be a tower. The intention is the same building type could be then replicated in the forest to form dwellings within the tower.
